Noshakh- Tribal Taste Restaurant Review by: Asad Sheikh

Noshakh, named after the highest peak in Afghanistan, is the latest addition to Lahore’s vibrant food culture. It is simply a restaurant serving delicious, authentic food at reasonable prices. A place that will become a favorite from the first visit.

This was my 3rd visit to Noshakh Restaurant  and with every trip the food gets better and better there.

For starters we ordered Hummus with Afghani Naan. The last time I had Hummus there, it wasn’t what it should be and I complained to the owner for it’s temperature which should be chilled, however this time around, seems like my requests were heard.

For main course, it was Dumba Karahi, Chicken Namkeen Karahi, Afghani Pulao, Rosh, and Chappal Kebabs.

It would be safe to say that Noshakh serves one of the best Chapal Kebabs and Dumba Karahi in town. Though their Chicken Namkeen Karahi was amazing too but would prefer Dumba Karahi any given day.

Rosh was moist and tender as it’s supposed to be and the Kabuli Pulao was excellent too.

To me this is exciting that such place exists in the middle of DHA with proper seating for families. Their choice of furniture is another debate but it’s a neat and clean joint with amazing Shinwari food.
