Katta Cut Chicken

Katta Cut Chicken

Ingredients:

Chicken 1/2 kg
Yogurt 250 gm
Oil 1/4 cup
Onion 1/2 kg
Ginger 1/2 inch piece in julienne
Garlic paste 2 Tbsp
Crush red chilies 1 Tbsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Green chilies 1/4 tsp 8-10
Coriander 1 bunch
Cardamom 2-3
Cinnamon  stick 1
Whole spice powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

Cut onion in slices. cut ginger in julienne.
Beat yogurt, add 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp garlic paste. Mix well
Add chicken pieces to it, leave it to marinate for 30-60 minutes.
Heat oil in dish add cardamom & cinnamon. Add onion slices. Fry till translucent. Add ginger & fry add turmeric 1/4 tsp.
Cook till oil separates.
Add chicken pieces along with marinade. Add crush red chili & salt. Fry nicely. Let it cook on medium heat till chicken becomes tender.
Add chop green chilies & chop coriander. Mix well on low heat.
Cover the dish and cook for 5 min.
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp whole spice powder before serving. Serve with naan.
