Ginger Chicken Masala

Description: Chicken curry in a spicy gravy with a tinge of ginger to add a crunch and leads to an intensely flavored chicken. Can be served with naan or paratha.


Boneless Chicken Strips ½ kg
Ginger 3 tbsp.
Ginger & Garlic Paste 1 tbsp.
Chopped Tomatoes 3
Yogurt 1 cup
Milk ½ cup
Red Chili Powder, 1 tsp. (or to taste)
Garam Masala Powder ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Oil 4 tbsp.
Green chilies 2-3
Hand crushed Mint Leaves 6-7


In a pan add oil, heat it, and add ginger. Stir fry, then add tomatoes. Keep stirring on high flame then add chicken strips. Stir fry till chicken starts turning white.

Add red chili powder, garam masala powder and salt now.


In a bowl mix yogurt and ginger garlic paste, mix well and pour the mixture in chicken. Increase flame to high and bring a boil, then add milk stirring occasionally till chicken is cooked and the gravy gets a little thickened.

Cook on high flame so that the excess water dries out, when oil comes on the surface it means that your dish is ready now add fresh mint leaves, green chilies and more ginger to garnish and serve.
