Cucumber Raita

Description: Smooth creamy yogurt with the added freshness and crunch of cucumber and cilantro and topped off with a little bit of heat from the chili powder, a perfect accompaniment to any paratha or biryani.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups thick plain Yogurt 
1 large Cucumber (half grated and half chopped)
1 tsp. roasted Cumin Powder
Few sprigs of cilantro
Salt to taste
Chili Powder/Ground Pepper for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Add the yogurt along with the spices in a bowl. Beat well until it becomes smooth. Add the grated cucumber and mix well. Then add the chopped cucumber to the raita mix along with cilantro. Give it a good mix.

MUST READ: Traditional Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken)

Serve raita garnished with some chili powder/roasted cumin powder to taste. Also add few additional chopped cucumber pieces as a garnish.
