Berry Fruit Yogurt

Recipe by Umam Aizaz

Difficulty: Easy, Cook Time: 7 Hours 10 Minutes, Core Ingredient: Yogurt, Servings: 3 Servings, Calories: 120 per cup

Description: Yogurt, fruit, and gelatin give this dish a somewhat cheesecake-like flavor but with a fraction of the fat and calories.

Yogurt (Nestle regular glass yogurt) 1.5 cups
Chopped Strawberries 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice 1 tbsp.
4 tbsp. Powdered Sugar. 4 tbsp.
Red Food Color 2 to 3 drops
Gelatin 2 tbsp.

Gelatin mixture:
(Dissolve 2 tbsp. gelatin powder in ÂĽ cup hot water. Keep stirring quickly till completely dissolved. Keep aside and cool completely before adding to the blender).

In a blender add chopped strawberries, lemon juice, powdered sugar and just 1/6th cup of yogurt. If u want the fruit pieces in your yogurt, just blend 20 seconds. For a creamy smooth yogurt blend well till a paste forms and the fruit disappears.

Now with the blender still switched on add the gelatin mixture slowly from the top hole of the jug. Blend well for 30 to 40 seconds.

In a bowl, add the remaining plain yogurt and gently fold in the fruit smoothie you just made. It is all right if a few streaks are left but over beating will make the yogurt watery.

Divide among 3 cups and freeze for an hour, then shift into the fridge and let it set for 6 hrs.

Garnish with few strawberries if u feel like. Consume within the same day.
