Beef Chili Dry | Harris Hayat

Description: Super hot and fragrant Chinese dry beef chili. Serve hot with boiled noodles or steamed rice.


  • 800g Beef
  • 1 tbsp Garlic & Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 5 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Siracha Sauce
  • 1 tsp Green Chili
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 large size Capsicum
  • Meat tenderizer (optional)


For Marination:

  • Cut the Beef into thin slices preferably Under Cut but if not available any cut can do.
  • Marinate beef by adding 3 table spoons of soya sauce, one table spoon of vinegar, one tea spoon of Garlic Powder, one tea spoon of Cayenne pepper preferably leave it overnight or at least two hours in the fridge.
  • Take it out of the fridge add the corn flour two table spoons. If it is not under cut add the meat tenderizer 10 minutes before frying.

For Cooking:

  • Deep fry the beef until slightly golden brown.
  • For the sauce take one table spoon chopped garlic and ginger and sauté it.
  • Once sauteed, add two table spoons of soya sauce, two table spoons of oyster sauce, two table spoons tomato ketchup, one table spoon of siracha sauce and one tea spoon of brown sugar. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes then add the beef, green chilies, Red and Yellow capsicum mix well. serve with white rice or garlic rice.
