3 Yummy Dips for Your Next Party!

Winter is here in full swing and people are holding parties all around, we know we are! It’s times like these when we find ourselves overly focused on a lot of small details but the one detail that always gets neglected no matter how much we try to focus on it is usually the food. So if you’re finding yourself with just a half hour left on your hands and no dip for all your yummy main dishes, fret no more because OnePlatter has just the yummy fixes for you and your pals!   1. Veggie Dip:

Having a myriad of friends over? Don’t remember who’s on a diet and who’s ready to indulge? Can’t quite put your finger on which of your friends are vegetarian? Don’t worry because this veggie dip is delicious and perfect for any crowd!

All You Need:

Greek Yogurt: 1 Ounce.

Dried Parsley: 3 Tablespoons.

Garlic Powder: 1 Teaspoon.

Onion Powder: 1 Teaspoon.

Salt: ½ Teaspoon.

Pepper: ¼ Teaspoon.

Green Onions: 1 Tablespoon.

Dried Basil: 1 Teaspoon.

The Optionals:

½ Teaspoon Dried, Minced Garlic.

½ Teaspoon Dried, Minced Onion.

1 Tablespoon Green Onion.

Ready, Set, Cook:

In a medium sized bowl, combine the Greek Yogurt, Dried Parsley, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt, Pepper, dried basil and the green onions. Mix these all until they’re combined.

Serving:

To prepare the platter, cut some of your favorite vegetables (that you think would be suitable for dipping). OnePlatter recommends cauliflower, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, radishes and carrots, etc.

Surrounding a pretty serving bowl, lay the vegetables on a bed of kale or salad leaves. Fill the bowl with the dip.

Optional: Sprinkle the dip with the green onion, minced onion and minced garlic. Serve, enjoy and don’t forget to tell us how it was!

2. Taco Dip:

This yummy dip will definitely make you the taco the town! Even though this dip requires a bit of effort, it’s worth it because you’ll be chowing down from dusk till dawn on the spicy, meaty goodness. This dip is also good as a spread for any sandwich you might be planning to make after the party but take care because it disappears fast!

All You Need:

Ground Beef

Poblano (or bell if you don’t like too much spice) peppers.

Taco Seasoning.

Cream Cheese.

Shredded cheese (any cheese except cottage is amazing for this recipe)

Milk.

Large Flour Tortilla

Tortilla Chips

Canola Oil Spray.

Ready, Set, Cook:

This recipe is accomplished in two steps. You can skip out the step regarding preparing the bowl but for the optimum foodie experience, we recommend going through with the whole recipe.

The Dip:

Cook the ground beef until it turns brown. Add the taco seasoning and stir well. Then, set the beef aside and cook the chopped Poblano/bell peppers.

In a sauce-pan add all the cheese and melt over low heat. Stir in milk as needed so the mixture will reach a medium-thick consistency. Add in the beef and the peppers. Add more milk if you find the dip to be too thin and cook until mixed well. Take off the heat.

The Bowl:

Preheat your oven to around 190 degrees Celsius. Turn a heat-proof bowl upside down. Spray the top of the heat-proof bowl with the canola oil and press a slightly warmed flour tortilla over it. Place it into the oven and cook until it’s firm and brown.

Take out of the oven and let cool. Separate it from the bowl and fill with the dip. Serve with Tortilla chips.

3. Cheesy White Pizza Dip:

Cheese-lover’s unite over this bowl of what is quickly about to become your favorite dip of all time! Here’s how you make it:

All You Need:

Pizza Dough.

Softened Cream Cheese: 8 Oz.

Shredded Mozzarella Cheese: 1 Cup.

Grated Parmesan Cheese: ½ Cup.

Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese: ½ Cup.

Chopped, fresh Basil: ¼ Cup.

Chopped Garlic Cloves: 6.

Melted Butter: ½ Cup.

Chopped Fresh Parsley: ½ Cup.

Red Pepper Flakes: 1 Teaspoon.

Ready, Set, Cook:

Divide Pizza Dough into 12-14 equal sized round pieces. Flatten the pieces into logs and tie them into knots.

Coat a 10-inch oven safe pan with oil. Place the knots in the shape of a circle around the sides of the pan. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let it rest for around 30 minutes. In the meantime, you can go ahead with the rest of the steps.

In a medium bowl, you can combine the Cream Cheese, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Ricotta, Basil, 3 of the garlic cloves, and red pepper flakes.

In a separate bowl, melt the butter and add the parsley and the rest of the garlic and mix well.

Take the plastic wrap off of the pan with the dough and scoop in the cheese dip in the center of the knots. Brush the knots with the butter/garlic mixture but don’t use all of it. Just enough to brush the knots thoroughly. You can top everything off by sprinkling some additional cheese on top of everything for an extra cheesy touch. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for around 20 minutes and broil for an additional 2 minutes or until the tops of the knots start to turn brown.

Take out of the oven and brush lightly with additional butter/garlic mix. Let it cool just slightly but serve while still warm.
